Project Kokeshi: Doll #4
Here is the fourth doll in my Project Kokeshi series. Introducing, Under The Sea Kokeshi!
Since my mobile game, Slot Stravaganza, was finally released last week, I can finally share the artwork behind one of the themes I created for it. This one is probably my favorite themes because I’m such a fan of sweets and desserts. ^__^
I’m not great at drawing by any means, but I’ve found working with Adobe Illustrator to be a lot easier than drawing by hand because I can be so precise. Since I had almost no experience with illustration, I went through a bunch of Illustrator tutorials before beginning. I also bought and worked through a good portion of Manga For The Beginner: Kawaii. I choose to use the kawaii style because the style is made up of simple shapes, flat colors, and light shading. Plus, it’s just so adorable – what’s not to love about it?
Slot Stravaganza is free to download and play. It’s available on mobile devices and the web. To find out more, check out the website (which I also designed and built!).
