No comments yet Day two went much, much smoother than our first day. We arrived early enough to find good parking and were able to check out the exhibition hall again at a less busy time. We had a hard time deciding whether we should go to the Heroes panel or the Iron Man 2 panel, and after consulting our friends via text, decided upon Iron Man 2. Assuming everyone else would also want to see this panel, we went and got in line 3 hours early – this time with good shoes, drinks, and reading material. Our planning seemed wasted, though, as there was no line and were let into Hall H immediately. There was a panel already going on when we found our seats near the back, but when the panel was finished we were able to find seats closer to the middle, although that was about as far as we could get.

This year was my first year attending Comic Con, and while I had a fantastically fun time, the experience itself was also a bit overwhelming and stressful. I had the opportunity to go with one of my childhood friends, Amber, who invited me to stay with her and her husband in north San Diego. Luckily for me, Amber knew to purchase tickets early (we bought them in April). Even so, we were still too late to secure 4-day passes, but we did manage to get a pass for Friday and Saturday. After having this experience, I was actually glad we didn’t get 4-day passes, as I don’t know if I could have handled more than 2 days.

It’s been awhile since I’ve made any posts around here. I’m just going to blame that on me being busy. Yeah.
Actually, it’s true. I have been quite busy the past month or so. After a weekend in Vegas (in which I made a mini pilgrimage to L.A.) I flew back to Colorado for two days and then flew to San Diego to visit my friend Amber and attend Comic-Con. More on that later.
Aside from all the travel, the real reason I have been so busy is because… I have accepted a front-end web developer position at Zappos and will be moving to Las Vegas at the end of August. I’ve had an amazing run at Burns Marketing for the past three years and feel incredibly grateful for all the things I’ve learned and all the wonderful people I’ve become friends with. Even so, I’m very much looking forward to working at Zappos – learning new things, meeting new people, and experiencing a new place.
So that’s it. The past few weeks have been spent getting things in order for the big move, spending time with friends, and trying to squeeze some “me time” in there (which has recently been spent watching Heroes – yes, I’m just now getting into that show). I promise, Comic-con posts are coming soon!
Note: Don’t forget that Ignite Fort Collins #2 tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9:25am!
