The Basics
I am a web developer currently residing in Las Vegas, Nevada. I began creating my first websites in 1997, back when Geocities and scrolling marquees were commonplace. It's my opinion that the internet was an ugly place back then, and my interest in making things look pretty made me want to further my knowledge in web developement and design.

Alma Mater
I aquired my B.S. in Computer Science, with a minor in Mathematics, from Colorado State University in 2007. During my four years at CSU I gained professional web development experience through employment with the university's vice president's office. There, I created and maintained several department websites such as the Vice President for Administrative Services, Human Resources, Budgets, Campus Events, and Classified Personnel Council.

Where I spend Monday-Friday, 8-5
I'm currently employed by Zappos.com as a Front-End Developer. Previously, I worked for a prominent marketing company in Northern Colorado where I had the privilege of developing web content for companies such as Hewlett Packard, NVIDIA, Comverge, itSMF and Incentra.

There's life outside the internet?
In my spare time I enjoy reading, working out, watching movies, listening to music, and baking cupcakes. I love traveling when I have the opportunity, and I'm a big organizational and clean freak. I am a huge list maker (I have at least 5 going at any one time) and incorrect spelling drives me insane.

Random tid bits
I have a fascination with the number pi (3.14159265...) and like to think of it as my lucky number (because no one else does). Every year on March 14th, you can find me celebrating Pi Day (3/14, get it?) and each Halloween I use my mad artistic skills and carve a pumpkin pi.

I'm also an obsessive origami folder – it began in 8th grade when I needed something to keep my hands busy during classes (when I wasn't taking notes, of course). I began accumulating so many that I recently decided to set up an online store to clear out my closet.

A more recent interest and hobby of mine is cake decorating, particularily cupcakes. If you live in Vegas and need me to bake you something, please let me know! If I keep baking for myself I'm going to need to buy some new pants.
