oh hai there

When I was 12 years old, my dad took a programming class at the local community college, just for fun. While watching him do his homework, I decided that I would never waste my time with something that looked so boring. Two years later, I discovered the internet when my dad installed AOL 2.0 on the home PC. Two years after that, my parents got me my own phone line (oh, dial up...), as I spent so much time online coding and designing websites that no one could call us. And two years after that, I was off to college (yay cable!) where I studied Computer Science at Colorado State University.

Raised in Colorado, I currently reside in Las Vegas, Nevada where I work as a front-end developer at Zappos.com. When I'm not designing or developing, you can find me cleaning or organizing stuff (it's a sickness I have), reading, folding origami, baking delicious treats, learning how to spin poi and do a handstand, and spending time with friends. I love to travel, take naps, drive long distances, and the color #fff.

Lately you can find me working on projects for 8byte8, a web application startup company that I co-founded with Jason Hurt. Our first app, Lystee, was released in May, 2011 and has been featured in the Chrome Web Store in the Entertainment category. Our second app, Lucidity, was released in August, 2011 as part of the 48-hour Node Knockout Contest.

about this site

The purpose of this site is so that I can showcase all my latest work, share my thoughts (when I'm not lazy), and for me to experiment with html5/css3 technologies.

This site was designed by yours truly in Photoshop and then coded into html5/css3 in TextMate. The fonts I use are Museo Sans (available on TypeKit) and Georgia. Wordpress powers the blog. Icons courtesy of Elegant Themes.
